In a nutshell, I combed over the entirety of the Internet, read a ton of reviews, carried out a series of side-by-side comparisons, and finally settled on this particular kind of rubber as the best option. Other than that, the rubber is excellent. P.S. I recently purchased some Chinese Velcro for dastr that was relatively inexpensive, and while I am pleased with the level of comfort and silence it provides, it is not need to be concerned about the spikes. Of course, Velcro performs very poorly on snowy roads, so you will need to increase the amount of care and attention you provide driving.
