What am I missing here? Bought expecting an extension to have a center "pin" that depresses the existing valve core when screwed on to allow air to flow in and out of the tire/tube and a second "pin" at the top of the extension , which prevents air from escaping after removing the pump fitting. No; There is no bottom "pin" and no top "ball" stopper that isn't even sealed in one direction only. So when screwing in, an attempt is made to introduce air into the extension itself, but nothing enters the tire (because the original valve pin was not pressed in). Then I thought maybe the extension has internal threads so the valve stem can be removed from the original valve and screwed into the end/top of the extension. Again no. Still optimistic, I took out the original rod and screwed on the extension. After pressurizing and loosening the tire pump connector, air came out of the ball plug immediately (that's how I knew it wasn't tight). Solution: Go back and look elsewhere.
