A very controversial lens, reading the reviews, it seemed that people came across different lenses, some were very sharp, others had it, some focused, others did not. I took a Canon 60D Kit 17-85 for myself, took pictures, of course I understand that f 4-5,6 but it’s comrades, he manages to soap even when it’s still quite light, I wonder what the stub is there. Moreover, I heard a recommendation to turn off the stub when it is light enough and it really got better. It is very difficult to get a non-soapy photo about relatively good conditions, in the evening there was a feeling that even the built-in flash did not save. Sometimes you get pretty good photos, but even more often under the same conditions you get blurry crap at 100% magnification. One gets the feeling that it is darker than they write. Soaps 17-24, details turn into a mess (if grass or something detailed in the frame), all other distances are basically nothing. So far I have not been able to shoot on a bright day, I mostly shot after 18:00, but it was very sunny, it was still far from sunset. HA very strong. The feeling that the lens will let you down wherever it can, there are so few good photos, and even less with it. As a landscape lens, it is meaningless, since it lathers at a wide angle, as a portrait lens it is untenable. In general, a complete misunderstanding, they still frighten that the trunk falls out, sucks dust, etc. But in general, good colors, if you know all the countless disadvantages of this lens, then you can take good photos. Maybe I'm too strict, maybe my hands are crooked, before that there was Nikon (whale and sigma 18-200). In general, I expected much more, and not that out of 5 photos 4 will be marriage, it’s pointless to take it separately, just like a whale. I just didn’t have money for something decent and I’m unlikely to be able to allocate them to the lens in the next year, so I’ll get my hands on it.
