Correctly aligns shaft and housing for insertion into engine once engine has been rotated to top dead center on the no. 1 cylinder's compression stroke. For use on the following vehicles: 1998-08 3.0L V6 Ranger; 1998-05 3.0L V6 Sable, Taurus (VIN U); 1998-06 3.0L V6 Sable, Taurus (VIN Z); 1998-03 3.0L V6 Windstar. Same as Ford No. 303-589; includes instructions for proper use of tool.

Ford 3.0 Cam Synchronization Tool

The camshaft timing tool worked well when setting the camshaft timing on the 3.0 Ranger. The engine started easily with no error codes. My only criticism is that it is an imported instrument from Taiwan. I was hoping it would be made domestically with a name like OTC.
