This alert solved the problem. The alarm is well made and can be powered by the supplied batteries or USB. USB does not charge batteries. No problem. I just ran an extension cord outside the garage and installed the transmitter between the doors. Everyone who enters the garage, car or person gives a nice red beep. I'm just having fun. There are 50 ringtone options. I connected the receiver to the other end of the house. About 45 feet and three walls from the transmitter. You can also deactivate the transmitter when it is not needed. I forgot to close my garage door when I got home and might be surprised but not with this product. It was ready to use immediately. I highly recommend it.
