If you expect the suction power of a container vacuum cleaner or even a car vacuum cleaner, you will be disappointed. This device is more like a brush with an electric dustpan - the brush picks up dust from the surface, and then the vacuum cleaner (fan with a filter around it) sucks it up. The brush works very well for cleaning flat surfaces. However, the bristles of the brush are short and hard and stand straight down, so really not suitable for cleaning nooks and crannies (there is a short nozzle, but that only helps to a limited extent). If you hit the front of the device hard (for example, if you were trying to clean a bookshelf and hit it from the back), it will turn off. It can then be reactivated immediately, but that will be tedious. If it wasn't a Vine item I would have sent it back.
