I'm trying to be a smart shopper and researching what I'm going to buy. and I have done my best in this case. There are many similar products out there and I chose this one for the wooden handle (oops, it's not wood), clean lines (looks nice) and ease of use. Even without the real wood handle, I'm overall happy with my purchase as it makes a nice coffee pot for two (about 4 ounces each and me). My only real complaint is the inside of the coffee pot that the coffee is brewed in. There is a narrow indentation on the edge of the pot that is difficult to clean. I've soaked it and it seems to be working, but I'm afraid that over time I'll want something with a better design. Note: If you are using a gas burner to heat this pot, you must use the inside of the double ring burner that is common on European stoves. Most American torches are too big and you'll burn the handle.
