I have a fairly new 5ft x 7ft rug in my living room that is still peeling a bit. Usually my robot vacuum (named Phineas*) has a pretty full tummy and the brush is clogged with lint after it has cleaned about half the carpet. I could just replace these parts when draining Phineas 'belly' and then clean the brush and roller I removed when I have time to get Phineas 'back to action' to get his job done much quicker! I've been doing this ever since I bought this refill set. If Phineas' ability to pick things up seems humiliating. I stop it, empty its "belly", remove the brush and roller and replace them with a second (clean) set, push the button and it turns off again. While he finishes cleaning the room, I clean the brush and roller that I took off so they're ready for use in the next room. Saves time - that's the point of a Roomba, right? Additional filters will also come in handy. I wash my filters after they've been used a few times by first tapping the filter (gently) against the wall of the kitchen sink to shake off any dust that has gotten into the fabric, then rinsing thoroughly with warm water using a spray bottle on my sink. I let it dry, after that it is perfectly clean and ready to use. While I'm sure this will increase the number of uses of each filter, I haven't been doing this long enough to know how many times I'll be using a single filter before the fabric starts to get holes or tears. a way. Just take a look. * Rumba is Phineas and his partner Braava is Ferb.
