I live in San Diego so the weather isn't as much of a concern as most. I let it inflate constantly for almost 3 weeks (I found that daily inflation/deflation doesn't work as wind and rain and repositioning is an issue). When I received this the box was split; the box it comes in is not big enough. I had it almost 3 weeks and we had light rain. The rain gets stuck in the sled and I had to hand comb it to keep it dry. The fan is external and has a fabric "hose" attached to the side of the skid. Most of my inflatable boats (Gemmy) have a built-in fan. This device does not have enough loops to tie properly. The penguin had no attachment loops in its pocket and was violently shaken by the slightest breeze. I was sure he would come off the back of the sled but at least he survived the 2017 season. The fabric isn't as thick as Jemmy's and the stitching doesn't feel as high quality. That being said I was looking for a specific size inflatable and this was the only one that was big enough and long enough. After three weeks of use, it didn't look any worse. You need to add some loops to the penguin in the bag for people to tie it up!
