Review on ๐Ÿšฝ Brushed beauty: Moen YB2208BN Brantford Toilet Brush enhances your bathroom by Ethan Delaney

Odd fastening system is good for cavity walls but not so good if you have studs

Moen seems to be changing its approach to installing wall material. This is the second item I have bought for her for a new bathroom renovation that has a large plastic mount. It is recommended to upgrade this to a hollow plasterboard wall. All good, because too often the toilet paper holder slips out when simply mounting it with dowels. But I placed a spacer in just the right spot between the studs to install the holder so I could screw it in securely. The included brackets have a built in molybdenum bolt which means I either can't mount the bracket where I wanted it or I have to struggle to disassemble it so I can screw it in with a regular long cabinet screw. This is definitely an improvement for those who need to attach the holder to a cavity wall; PiB for those of us with a hairpin.

Pros
  • CONSTRUCTION: Zinc paper holder
Cons
  • No automatic
