One of the extra end pieces had to be knocked out with a hammer as it was too tight to remove. It does not slide easily on the check valve. Many attempts to force him to gain a foothold. I only bought it to loosen the valve which is still not closed compared to the opposite valve under the sink. Needs to be replaced I think as the water is still coming through. I am a woman, but the man also tried to use it. We both had the same problems.
