My dog is 8 pounds and I remember it said up to a 10 pound dog. Perfect for this size. The dog likes to be able to watch. The backpack fits my husband who is 61 and three times my size and I who is 150 pounds. The straps are easily adjustable. Very happy with the purchase. And it has a strap around the drop to keep it stable when you lean over or walk. He won't jump.
