Display backlight is extremely useful. The display itself is very clear and I even left a scratched sheet of plastic on it to protect the screen. When the backlight is on, scratches on the film are not visible. The device is easy to use and works right out of the box. There is no estimated cost of electricity for this device, but for me it is not critical, I can calculate it myself. Most impressive is the accuracy of the meter reading, which can detect a resolution of 0.01W. I tested this by turning off my computer it was plugged into and it found 0.01 watts on the computer which told me the computer was still using the smallest fraction of the power it was designed for . The benefit of this is that you can connect devices to this meter when they are off to see which devices are using the least power even when they are off.
