I love these hourglasses! I first bought these because our pediatrician recommended using the hourglass timer (from one of our play boxes) to help our child figure out how long to sit at the dining table. Now I've used them a lot more than that! They are great pictures for the time. I like the size which is fun and easy to see across the room and hard to lose. I also used them to record my personal reading time. I also love those slanted sides that allow you to lay them on their side to "stop" time without tipping them over. They're pretty accurate - they're a joy to use to get away from digital technology (e.g. cell phone timers. Cell phone apps tend to distract me). My only complaint is that sometimes the last bit of sand seems to stick to the top, but it can be shaken off. Our kid loves watching them before bed. The colors are bright and cheerful. We bought two sets to have more time and I wish they had a 30 minute timer and maybe even a flat tray to line them up. I would always buy them!
