Mac user experience

As a Mac user, the LG 49" Curved Ultrawide exceeded my expectations! I've read many reviews and watched several YouTube videos about the LG 49" monitor user experience. I waited about 4 weeks before finally deciding to buy, knowing that there could be potential limitations that Mac OS might encounter My specs: - Mac Mini (2018): Catalina 10.15. Vega 56 (8GB) The key to my successful Mac experience - 49" LG Ultrawide monitor (primary monitor) connected via DisplayPort from my eGPU - LG 27" 5K Ultrafine display (secondary monitor) via USB-C from my eGPU. Full resolution for both the 49" Ultrawide (5120 x 1440) and my 27" 5K Ultrafine (5120 x 2880). There are no major slowdowns on my tiny (but powerful) Mac Mini -Desktop setup I'm using my 49" The new screen is mainly for productivity and working from home on projects and applications. However, I play MMO games on the display. It's definitely not meant for hardcore gamers, it's for People looking for a hybrid solution for gaming and performance Text is crisp and video playback is crystal clear I like having 3 app windows side by side (and a 4th app window if I'm using a second monitor), and they all run at normal speed ability. What I want to change: - Audio. For an embedded all-in-one solution, that's fine. But the sound didn't suit me and I ended up buying external desktop speakers. Also, when connected via DisplayPort, I didn't have a "Full Audio" button. Keyboard control which I've indulged in and is a must have for me. What I like about this monitor: - Resolution and real estate. I LOVE the lack of a center bezel for a dual monitor setup. I missed something and now I'm spoiled for improved productivity. Working from home has become less stressful due to the need to use multiple apps at the same time. - No built-in webcam. The additional monitor already came with the webcam, and at first I wanted the 49-inch monitor to have one, BUT I love the ability to set up the Logitech 4K webcam to sit on top of this ultra-wide monitor. I like having a minimal desk surface so I decided to use a monitor arm to hold this 49 inch monitor. I use the Humanscale M8.1 and was surprised that one hand could hold this 28lb monitor. Very happy with how it "floats" over my desktop. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and regret not having waited that long to make my decision. As a Mac user, make sure you have an eGPU to take full advantage of the screen resolution. Note. My first shipment arrived with quarter-size dead pixels. Trying to do an exchange through Revain is a hassle as they try to pair you with LG first to try and provide the service and not do the exchange. The second/replacement shipment arrived with no damage to the monitor.
