With handwriting, I was hoping I'd never have to bend down again. The super-short handle is a long handle. It's not a long handle! At best, it's an elongated short one or medium length I'm 5ft 7 in my hand it's about mine Must be able to dig in the sand to turn rocks I have to stop and bend down Now the plus is that it's very strong and is durable and you can't dig me like a shovel but definitely move the top level 1 or 2" of sand. Look at this thing that's about 3 1/2 feet long, maybe 4 feet, a little stronger, so i can also use it as a shovel but its very light and if you walk the tracks a little.and can be a pretty good height for you.overall a good addition to your metal detector in your shark for searching.
