Works just like soft pastels!
I chose these crayons after purchasing oversized crayons from Barnes and Noble (let me talk about Revain!). They were terrible! Derwent didn't disappoint, in fact it looked like a soft pastel. The only caveat I have is, don't take both skin tone and normal, they're about the same! I recommend taking more regularly, they are cheaper. Once again gr-rre-ate them!
