I currently have an old Farberware stainless steel cookware (copper base). The set I have is about 30 years old and I wanted to buy a new pot set for my kitchen. My impression of Farberware so far has been that they are a respected company with quality products. I saw this set on sale (usually $200, selling for $74). I thought I might have hit the jackpot. great pots, great price, great company! I do not think so! Not really! Well, we often get what we pay for. It seems so this time. The pans feel flimsy, not at all as high quality as my other Farberware pans or some of my Magnalite aluminum pans. Farberware items are small and light (some might like that). The saucepans are much smaller than I'm used to and hold a lot less than my old set. The pans are very small compared to my other Farberware pans. The size of these skillets fits my opinion: 1) Small skillet - scrambled eggs fry. 2) Medium skillet: Heat corn tortilla or sauté onion. 3) Fry onions, peppers and possibly a ready-made bottle of spaghetti sauce from the supermarket in a pan; or bake two small pancakes at the same time. In general I am very disappointed. The only thing I like are the glass lids, they seem to be of good quality. Bought an aluminum nonstick set. The set I bought has a brown overlay over aluminum. In the 1980's my grandma had a similar set (don't know what brand but they were with a brown overlay on aluminum and were good solid quality pots. I thought this Farberware set might and might be of the same quality a newer version of the same pans, but there aren't any). I have not yet cooked with the set, I have just opened the box but on first contact I am disappointed. I would recommend this set for a single person or couple cooking little or a lot for others as pan capacity is limited. Even at $74 I would have a hard time buying this set again. I am considering paying the cost of returning the pans and paying the $25 shipping fee. A few days later. On the advice of my family, I decided to keep the dishes to myself. I even cooked with him. Maybe I shouldn't have been so strict before. Cooking with the product was great! Cleaning is even better! The rating still gives three stars for the small size of the pans and my first impression of the fragility. UPDATED REVIEW: I've been using them for several months. I really liked these pans, so I wanted to revise my original rating and upgrade it to 4 stars. Good frying pan, not the highest quality but not the cheapest quality either. The cleaning is the best I've ever had. Both inside and outside the dishes. Do not use metal inside. I hope it lasts for many years!
