Review on 🔪 PLATO 170 Shear Cutter, 1mm: Precision Cutting Tool for Industrial Applications by Jay Elgouhari

There are no Plato model 170 cutter/shears that are made in USA despite the description saying that they are. Techspray (aka ITW-CC Electronics) the company that "makes" the true Plato model 170 stated in an email query that their cutters are made in "Costa Rica from parts from the US and other countries."The cutters I received had "Made in China" stamped on one of the handles which also form the cutter. Given that the two handles form the bulk (and main component) of the tool, essentially the tool can be considered made in China.Despite this, the tool itself is okay in quality. The cutting edges line up well. These are considered disposable cutters hence the price. The hand grip on the tool states that the max cutting diameter is 1mm. I would recommend not exceeding that.
