Kids LOVE every step of the wash cycle. Prepare, color directly, wait, wash and wear! The kit contains everything you need for coloring. (Next to the fabric you want to dye) And it comes with lots of dye. The instructions are very detailed and there are even several tutorials on different patterns that you can use. We managed to color so many things with this kit. I believe there are 6 shirts, a tapestry (which was a sheet) and a pillowcase with plenty left over. It says to use the color within 1 hour of mixing it as it starts to fade and the colors aren't as vibrant. That was enough time. The kids can't wait to do more. Cleaning is super easy and not messy. We used the baking grids to paint our exteriors and the scent worked well. We wrapped them in plastic bags we had lying around and then wrapped them in the plastic tarp that came with it.
