I use about 10 different vegan dog foods, each with their own strengths. They all meet AAFCO standards, so I won't go into that here. I started giving this as one of the high protein foods for my vegan pup. Now that he's an adult, I've significantly reduced his protein intake. But I still love this food. Wysong has a strong, rich flavor. It also has very few "crumbs". This is important to us because my dog eats about 3/4 of his breakfast in the form of dry pieces off the floor every morning. I like to take a handful and spread them around the three rooms to keep him busy and excited while I clean the garden and make breakfast. Some foods have a lot of crumbs that fall off when I scatter the food. So I really appreciate this Wysong feature. And the pieces are SMALL. My dog is 60 pounds and can break large sticks and rubber toys so he doesn't need small pieces like a small dog or cat would. But I like that the pieces are tiny because it means it takes him longer to find and eat all the pieces I scattered for his nose job. We don't use special dog "treats"; We only use slices or raw vegetables as rewards. Compared to some other vegan dog foods, this one stays fresh on the counter for a long time and is super crispy. We've got some open-faced treat cups for impromptu workouts. Some foods spoil overnight. Wysong stays crisp and fresh even if we don't empty the whole bowl for days. The price is reasonable considering the quality and many features that are important to us. Fantastic product. I wish it was easier to find and comes in 5+ pound bags.
