I've been feeding my cat this food for about eight months. First I checked all the vitamins and this stuff contains important nutrients like B12, taurine and omega-3 fatty acids. D3 appears to be derived from milk or sheepskin (never got a definitive answer, sorry!), but the product appears to be "mostly" vegan. I use about 10 different vegan dog foods, each with their own strengths. They all meet AAFCO standards, so I won't go into that here.
