Great value for money

This device is a battery tester, multimeter and OBDII scanner. It can test both conventional flooded and lead-acid AGM batteries. I have a Lexus Hybrid equipped with a Panasonic 12 volt AGM motor. When hooked up to my old battery, this unit started up immediately and showed a 9.8v terminal potential which no wonder explains why my car wasn't booting up properly, with blind spot monitor failing, infotainment screen flashing, blank gear indicator instead of the letter "P" and there is no green readiness indicator. I then checked the CCA battery with him and he said the battery needed replacing as its current was too low for something that was supposed to provide 355A. I could tell from the voltage alone that the battery was on its last breath and didn't check the CCA, but that's not why this device is good. Two days earlier, after an hour of driving, the voltage was measured at 12V+, but this tester at the time indicated that the OSK was not up to standard. I wouldn't consider replacing a $300 Japanese battery if the voltage looked fine and I figured my new tester must be wrong, but this device warned me something was wrong and saved me from possibly getting stuck on my upcoming road. to travel. As a voltmeter, it differs from my Craftsman multimeter by 0.1V: more than accurate enough to measure lead-acid batteries, but you may want to use something different if you're testing sensitive electronics. The OBDII reader has a built in emission readiness mode that displays a checklist of all subsystems and any trouble codes. It also has real-time data so you can view engine RPM, O2 sensor readings and other readings. It doesn't have the SRS and ABS features found in dedicated scanners, but it's more than enough for most household jobs. The software that comes bundled with this device is a bit cheaper and the upgrade process should be easier as there are two files to download from the manufacturer's website rather than a one button solution, but overall this is a very high quality device , which can solve many problems and potentially save you a lot of money by not having to go to the mechanic all the time.
