I think there are a few downsides

Summary: Makes good pizzas but they are thicker and smaller than what I've made before. The press is set to a specific thickness, which unfortunately I can't change. Water vapor collects right where you open/lift the lid, that's where boiling water collects. The boiling water burned my fingers several times until I just wiped it off with a rag. Overall, it was definitely non-stick and made delicious pizzas, but it only had a few downsides in my opinion. Great, but not what I'm used to. These pizzas are way thicker than I usually see. I figured if I held it down I could make them thinner, but with the way the press is made the thickness is fixed. I didn't use the included recipe, I used my family's recipe. It was actually non-stick and I turned on the image mid-stack, nothing stuck. They taste great but are about 2 or 3 times thicker than my previous pizza maker. Another reason I removed the star is that the hot vapor condensed into drops right where my hand would have to be to open the lid to lift it. Drops of very hot water burned my fingers several times. I looked at the underside of the handle as it cooled and saw the steam coming out through that small slit (along with the sides) from the inside and out. It would literally climb up the handle and burn me if I didn't wipe it off. I've attached a photo pointing out the problem spot. Also in the photo with the handle open, small drops of water can be seen that collect when the handle is lifted. She cooked my pizzas well, but she had a few qualities I didn't like. For my recipe, I turn the dial to 4 and let it cook for 1 minute 15 seconds, then remove it with a heat-safe spatula to avoid scratching.
