Review on Sony SEL24240 24 240Mm 3 5 6 3 Mirrorless by Danielle Hartman

It has replaced my prime lenses and I don't mind

I wasn't expecting much when I bought this lens as the reviews are quite mixed. other sides. But to be honest, after a few days of trying, I don't understand the hatred for this lens. Many YouTube photographer reviewers and users of some technical photography sites talk about this lens as if it were a bad kit lens. This is anything but true! After moving to a full frame camera, I realized that my budget limits the number of lenses I can have. One of the simple ones I bought cost a thousand dollars. Another cost six hundred dollars. If you want the best zoom lenses, they cost around $3,000. If you're shooting portraits for print marketing and zooming in enough to fit the side of a bus, you're bound to find the sharpness of this lens flawed. But when I tested it alongside my 28mm and 55mm lenses I found it to be a great lens, almost as sharp as both, less expensive and definitely a lot more versatile. This will be my city touring lens, my run shoot lens, and my run shoot lens. not further. Not only is this a very powerful zoom lens, but I was shocked to see how stable it was on my Sony a7iii. When I zoom in it jumps everywhere. But as soon as you pull the trigger, the OSS kicks in, and it's like the hand of God is reaching down and grasping the barrel. Solid as a rock for usable images even at maximum magnification. I like it. A word of warning: this is a hefty lens, it does have some weight so keep that in mind if you're lugging it around on a long trip. But I think the versatility is worth it.
