Hush puppies are reborn. They were cool among school kids in the '60s. Now they're being sold to high school kids in their 20s. They are sold because they still look and feel good. The style is, as one reviewer put it, "dress slippers". Well, slippers are just what many people need in terms of comfort and looks. They can be worn to a variety of occasions, from the office to church, from family gatherings to the Friday night boardwalk. These Hush puppies are exactly what I was hoping for. The weight is like a feather. That's as close to not wearing shoes while wearing shoes as you can get. There is some stretch material inside the boot to provide comfort at the arch of the foot. Despite the decorative stitching around the upper front of the shoe, these are three-piece shoes: two pieces, one on each side, at the back; whole front. Finally the skin is velvety - very pleasant to look at and to touch, soft but not cheap. Now for the cons, and there are bound to be some compromises with such an unusual shoe. First, the leather is unlined. Secondly, this shoe is incredibly minimalistic and I wouldn't be surprised if rain, snow and normal wear and tear would damage the leather. But that's a guess. I recommend this shoe to everyone looking for lightness and comfort in everyday life. My sons love their style. i love her feeling
