Edit: I called the company and they assured me or be safe to air it outside. Customer service was fantastic! Answered right away. The same person every time. Gave me his email. Called back on time. 10/10 customer service. Given an extra star for that. The rope was out all the time. 2-3 weeks now I think? Not sure. My whole porch smells like rope now. This is an open but covered porch. In a windy area. I'm afraid to carry a rope around the house. I will again indicate the timing of how long you need to ventilate to remove the smell of gasoline. The second batch has arrived and it smells like plants. Nothing like the first. Original Review: Safe for Pets and Food? I doubt. It smells very strongly of gasoline. That would definitely be the end of my birds. I had to put it outside. I hope the smell goes away because I still have a roll on the way and I don't want it to be a lost cause of building a jungle birdie gym with "vines".
