Review on 🏰 Discontinued Manufacturer of LEGO Architecture Imperial by Kaveen Restoration

Lego As Art is a beautiful and educational piece

My 9 year old son and I have just completed FLW's Lego Imperial Hotel project and I am very impressed. Together my son and I have completed three other Lego architecture projects including Robbie's House, Falling Water (Kaufman's house) and Savoy Villa. Of the four sets, I have to say that the Hotel Imperial is probably my favorite of the four sets. Robbie's house is certainly impressive too, but the finished Imperial Hotel is of remarkable size and the color combinations are really pretty. The really nifty thing about Robbie's house is that you can take the roof off and stick in some battery powered LED lights and the building will light up from the inside (I wowed my nine and nine year olds with everything, by the way). from us.). It is not possible to illuminate the Imperial Hotel as the roof surfaces are fixed after assembly. some fairly complex steps in creating the final product. Even under fairly close supervision, we had to take a few steps back and take things apart a few times because we got a little confused (pain with these really small parts). If you're willing to put in some time and patience it all pays off in the form of a great end product and gives kids and adults a good sense of accomplishment as you put the last Lego in place. Architect and it's a really fun way to introduce children to the joys of architecture and to introduce young people to the vocabulary of design and architecture. Projects allow you to showcase different aspects of visual design, such as: B. Mr. Wright's preferred horizontal planes, use of colors and materials, and even some structural concepts such as cantilever and bolt and beam concepts. My son may not have followed in my footsteps as an architect, but these projects certainly give him an insight into the wonders and ideas of architecture and his father's passion. I just hope Lego keeps releasing the Architecture series. (What about Taliesin West's Lego people?) If you're just starting out with the Lego Architecture series and are doing a project with a child, I'd recommend starting and working on easier projects first - start at the Farnsworth House or Savoy Villa, go to Falling Water and then it's pretty hard in terms of difficulty/time for the Robbie House and Imperial Hotel sets. Just be patient and willing to put in the time and your efforts will be rewarded. At the end of the day all these projects are like little works of art - they sit on my desk in my study and office and people are always commenting and wondering. that these are Lego projects. One final note - this is NOT the entire Imperial Hotel - this Lego project is only a small part of a much larger hotel complex. This Lego set is just the portico of the entrance hall, so purists should be aware of that aspect and not expect to make the entire hotel the way Mr. Wright designed it.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Difficult to say
