This is an advanced build so I wouldn't recommend it for children

This set is one of my favorites from the LEGO Architecture range. This is an advanced build so I wouldn't recommend it for kids. This line is really geared towards adults anyway. The set contains many unique items. So if you want to try building something of your own, you have plenty of options. It should be noted that there are no details on the back of the model, it's just a flat brick wall. You may want to buy two sets to put together to complete the building. I've also thought about buying…

Missing building toy pieces

Bought this as a gift for my husband who loves Lego architecture. This disappointed him as after following the instructions he found the kit was missing parts. Not any kind, but the complete absence of certain kinds. Maybe one of the parts bags was missing with all those missing parts. So far this is the third time he has had to stop and wait three weeks for Lego to ship parts. Finally, convince him to stop and count all the pieces so that if he's missing something else, he can request all the…

Imperial Hotel on Storage & Accessories

It was a really great and challenging project! When I got to the end I knew all the bricks were placed correctly and it was built perfectly (it took me about a month to assemble). The bricks are so dense that you can hardly see the seams between them. However, I have a few suggestions: 1. Part #4211052: the sample says I should have received 6 pieces; actually i got 5. I double and triple checked this account. This was my 10th architectural project so I borrowed details from previous projects…

Classic architecture by Frank Lloyd Wright!

The Imperial Japanese Hotel featured in this Lego Architectural series is the second of three hotels that have occupied the site for almost a century and a half. The hotel in question in this Lego image was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and existed from 1922 to 1967, when it was demolished eight years after the architect's death. This monumental Lego set contains over 1100 pieces, which is quite a challenge. Again, on three separate occasions I found missing parts which halted the build…

It's worth the price and looks great!

This model has over 1000 parts and is 100% symmetrical or almost symmetrical. I enjoyed putting it together. The proportions are accurate and it looks better when finished than I expected. When I was done I had less than 10 extra parts. Nothing is missing. I don't think I have a large open table or family room to organize the pieces the way most recommend. I like to put everything in a box when I'm not building a model. If you're short on space or don't want to lose or find parts, I recommend…

BEAUTIFUL MODEL! on storage and accessories

This model reproduces the entrance portico and foyer of the legendary Imperial Hotel, designed and built in part under his direction by Frank Lloyd Wright between 1916 and 1922. Frank Lloyd Wright when I was 12 and my older sister did a school project based on his work. I fell in love with Falling Water and the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, which sadly had been demolished just a year earlier, in 1968. to the Meiji Mura Open Air Museum northeast of Nagoya, Japan, about 2.5 hours. by train from Kyoto…

Lego As Art is a beautiful and educational piece

My 9 year old son and I have just completed FLW's Lego Imperial Hotel project and I am very impressed. Together my son and I have completed three other Lego architecture projects including Robbie's House, Falling Water (Kaufman's house) and Savoy Villa. Of the four sets, I have to say that the Hotel Imperial is probably my favorite of the four sets. Robbie's house is certainly impressive too, but the finished Imperial Hotel is of remarkable size and the color combinations are really pretty. The
