Review on SCHWALBE 1847 Bicycle Tire Levers by George Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits where other tire levers don't

PRO-* (Important)- I've tried other tire levers (a bunch with great reviews) and these have become the ones I use. I can get them between the tire and rim when NONE of my levers can. (These include Park Tools, Pedros, Crank Brothers and a few others). • Like most, they have a notch that snaps into place when the tire is removed. Less commonly, they also have a mechanism for locking and sliding when mounting a tire (of the other levers I own, only my much larger Crank brothers' lever has one). • Compact size and light weight. how easy it can be to click if you're not careful. You can hear it sound like it's going to break if you put a lot of force on it (warning enough I backed off when I heard that and didn't actually break). • Part of the clip. The tire is a little difficult to push out. (The Crank Brothers lever does this part of the job better than the Schwalbe, but it's too big to carry around in a repair kit.) (Note 2: None of my other levers have this). do not slip/snap together like many levers (I connected them with a rubber band) (but [1] they don't fit my 2 favorite levers and [2] they are quite small and light compared to others).

Pros
  • Cycling
Cons
  • Not all fit
