Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Your Automotive Maintenance with WORKPRO W114083A Oil Filter Pliers by Dino Burks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Oil in the bag does not mean used up!

I've noticed that some reviewers are mistaking a small amount of oil in the bag as a sign of the tool being used. It's not relevant. The oil is made in such a way that the manufacturer can make a ton at a time and keep it in a warehouse or container for a long time without rusting! If the tool has no actual scratches on the teeth or cuts on the rubber, the tool is new. However, the tool does have one small drawback: the screw holding the two sides together has been loosened a bit, and you can't tighten it much more without it being too difficult to use. Instead, just put a dab of Loctite or similar on the threads of this bolt and you've got the perfect, inexpensive oil filter remover. Even with a small defect still 5 stars, just because it is the cheapest wrench at the time of testing and if you don't know how to tighten the small screw, you should probably not change the oil yourself.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Easily repairable
