I thought this was a godsend. No more wrapping the thread around the spoon and burning your fingers! Simply grab the bag with these pliers and squeeze. Then dispose of the bag without wetting or burning it. I've seen some people say they had a hard time squeezing them, but I'm 73 years old, have arthritis and NO PROBLEMS AT ALL! So very glad I bought this!
