The strong paint toxic chemical smell on the white side panels was a real disappointment. I also didn't like the illustrations on the side walls and the pattern of the tiles on the roof. At the very top of the roof panel is a round logo with the company's name on it, and it looks very gaudy. Overall I would say this bookshelf is grossly overpriced and definitely not suitable for children as the highly toxic smell of paint will probably and most likely release gas over time. Who knows what chemicals are in this paint. BTW I didn't even try to assemble it, just aired out the parts but the smell of the paint hasn't really gone away, I smelled all the toxic chemicals every time I walked past the parts, in my opinion the product can not to be kept safely in the bedroom.
