These individual molds are surprisingly easy to fill and make great 2.5" ice cubes! I was trying to find a nice round shape for ice cubes. I bought a silicone tray made out of 8 round ice cubes about 1.5" in diameter and they are awful to use! The mold is cut in half and you fill it halfway, then put the lid on and try to fill each cube through the hole in the top. The top half wants to float all the time, and ice cubes are obtained with a skirt. However, these individual forms are amazing. Just fill the bottom to the brim and slowly place the silicone cap on top. If you go too fast, you'll get a little "geyser" of water, but that's easy to get used to and prevent. Once switched on, they hold together perfectly and no water leaks out. I even dropped one on the floor and it lost almost no water. Forms are simply released. Just pour warm water on the bottom and pull the silicone lid and it comes out. Then push the silicone lid into the ice tray and it just pops out! I couldn't be happier! Now I'm "Boller"!
