I suggest not to cut sheet steel.
Are they suitable for cutting steel pipe and squares? Yes. Are they suitable for cutting sheet steel? May be. The reason I say "maybe" is because you have to be very careful when cutting long pieces with these wheels. I've seen them explode due to the side force generated when cutting long corners of the steel sheet. They are very loud but leave a very clean cut. They are attached to a base saw I bought from Home Depot. Wear glasses!
