Very happy with the quality of this bag which converts into a shoulder bag. It would be very helpful if Carhartt added additional pictures showing the inside and back of the bag. This is how the back works. They have a strap (with length adjusters on either side). It is attached to the bottom of one side and goes through a metal ring near the top of the bag. It curves to form a "handle" on that side of the bag, goes through another metal ring, and then attaches to the bottom of the other side. This configuration is the default backpack mode. Because the strap is non-detachable, you can convert it into a crossbody bag by extending both sides of the strap and letting the extra length pass through the top rings. Part of the "handle" of the belt is on the shoulder.
