Review on XLAB 2232 XLab Tri Tool by Marc Cahoon

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Compact, needs repairs

Pros: * Compact (71mm x 8.5mm) * Relatively light (100g) * It has basic emergency tools Cons * Handlebar lever is metal (I'm not going to put this in use on my carbon bikes). *Not suitable for deeper or tighter fits (base is thicker than top and top is much shorter). I tried to adjust the brakes and couldn't, he can't reach. * Some dimensions are slightly different, not exact but not much (I measured them with Mitutoyo 530 series caliper). I still wear it on my TT bike but if I could find something better I would replace it. In one minute. **Update: I now realize this is completely useless. I bought 3 Allen keys (5mm, 4mm and 2.5mm) and that's all I need for my Cervélo P3 when I do triathlon and training. All 3 weigh 30g, while the XLab Tri Tool Kit (without mounting arm and rubber band) weighs 75g and doesn't give me the same functionality as allen wrenches. They also take up less room in my bag and are easier to organize. demotion and must return it.

Pros
  • Bike tools and maintenance
Cons
  • Small parts
