I am a pediatric occupational therapist and I love this toy! In addition to using it in my practice, I recently bought it for my little niece. This toy helps develop fine motor skills including but not limited to hand-eye coordination, dexterity, bilateral coordination, motor planning, visual perception skills, color identification and sorting, counting, problem solving, cause and effect and more! It is also a toy that can grow with the child. Babies can start playing with it to learn how to grasp, toddlers can pick up the slot and put it in, and preschoolers can learn to count, sort, name colors and take turns!
