Ok when I ordered this I didn't realize it was a wet and dry iron. As professionals we are taught and know wet hair is weakest so I didn't do it on wet hair. However, I was dying to try it, so I took my daughter's hair and HOLY COW! Two passes and the hair came out dry, shiny, silky, smooth and soft. I didn't do the roots and I suggest you don't do the root area because of the steam or you could burn your scalp. But i really liked it. I would recommend not doing this to your hair every day, but rather from time to time. This was the only way to preserve the integrity of the hair in the pen. I used it on my dry hair and was again amazed at how soft my hair was.
