A genius concept with an imperfect execution

I love the idea of this game. It feels very much like an "at home escape room," with a variety of puzzles to solve in order to complete a story. And the narrative in this particular puzzle, involving breaking in to Alcatraz in order to help prisoners escape, while fairly straightforward, is actually an excellent choice of story. Inspired by true events (though certainly embellished in the extreme), the story is actually quite entertaining and provides a unifying theme for the various puzzles. The design of the game itself, likewise, is incredible. The expanding box filled with secret compartments that you only open once you've achieved certain goals in the game is excellent. It's well-constructed and really brings the game to life. I'm also pleased with the variety of puzzles, ranging from visual puzzles to word puzzles, along with a couple of mathematical puzzles and even one physical puzzle with objects that you need to manipulate. And by and large, the puzzles seem to be just about
