For those who have never used this style of shaker (two halves) you may be more familiar with the three piece shaker (base, lid, lid). That's definitely my experience. However, after using this shaker a few times, I found it to be better than the 3 piece design. The seal between the two halves is excellent; You can shake like crazy without fear of a leak. And since both halves are big enough to hold comfortably in your hand, they're much easier to separate. It's not that they still won't fight you, but pulling them apart is a lot easier than ripping the cap off a three-piece set. A sieve is necessary and fits very well. The remaining parts. Well they are fine. Jigger is fine. You may or may not find a use for glasses. I found the spout unnecessary, but maybe if you're throwing a big party they'll come in handy. The only thing on my wish list is a small shelf to organize a shaker, spoon, strainer and maybe a measuring cup. . Be that as it may, they are a collection of individual parts that are not easy to organize. But it's a nitpick. I am very satisfied with this set.
