Excellent Car/RV Camera System - Easy Install - Great Value

I'm a big fan of these backup camera systems. I've bought a few over the years and this 2 camera HD model is a great deal. In my setup I wanted a backup camera for my 17ft RV. I started by connecting the pigtail to the trailer's 12v socket using an electrical crimp connection (quite easy). I wanted mine to always be powered and you have that option. Otherwise you may get 12 volts from the reverse light. I then used the camera receiver and ran it straight through the floor of my RV using an extension cord attached to the trailer connection point to my car. I installed the camera on the back of the RV. The last step was to connect the camera in the car and I immediately had the idea. I've installed it a couple of times so I don't really need a manual, but it's nice that the manufacturer hooked the camera up to a monitor upon arrival. This system supports up to 2 cameras which is a particularly nice feature especially if like me you need a camera on the back of your RV and at the tag location (in my case to watch the hitch point). By attaching a camera to my hitch, it is now a one person job to connect the tow vehicle to the RV. This is a well built, high quality system. I'm glad to see that this is the HD version. I don't use redundant parking lines, but the choice is yours based on your needs. I also think the picture quality is excellent. I place the camera on the back of the van in a direction where I'm not looking directly into the headlights behind me at night. I use my camera to confirm that I passed someone while changing lanes. I have attached a few photos for reference. As you can see, the system comes with everything you need to install it. However, if you want to extend (like me) you just need to add an extra wire. I had no trouble receiving from the front of my 4Runner to the back of my 17ft RV, allowing it to cover a good distance. I highly recommend this if you want to add an automatic backup camera system or even install a camera for the back of your RV (like I did). Another handy feature that I use a lot is the extra USB port on the charging cable. Since I only have one lighter, this comes in very handy for extra items. I attached the monitor to the front using the suction cup that came with it. Quite easy. For this install I would say it took me about 1 hour since I decided to use the back of the RV but your install will be twice as fast as the automatic install. Much of my extra time was spent choosing the wiring route for my van.
