This shrimp toy has been used by my cats for a long time. They also had a strong cough for a long time. We took her to the vet and started treatment for lungworm. The coughing continued. We spoke to the vet about asthma, closed the windows and bought air filters. The coughing continued. About two months after the lungworm treatment, we took the cats to my parents' house and brought the shrimp with us. The coughing continued. Then I was responsible for bringing the cats back to our apartment and I completely forgot about the shrimp toy. For 1 week and 1 day the cats never coughed (before that they coughed once a day). I bought this toy to replace a toy I left with my parents and the next day after receiving the cats are coughing again. I suppose it could still be a coincidence, but it looks like this toy made my cat cough. The 1 week and 1 day without a toy is also the longest time without a cough. I can't find anything online about catnip causing coughing in cats, so I haven't found a result yet either. , or there is some other irritant in this shrimp toy that causes coughing.
