You probably won't succeed.

We had high hopes for this radio. His own manual states that a good signal can be expected within 300 miles during the day and much further at night. My husband had a lengthy chat with the seller prior to purchasing this radio to ensure it would suit us before spending a significant sum on the radio. The distance between our home in Coquitlam, British Columbia and Mercer Island in Seattle, where the KIXI AM880 radio broadcasts, is approximately 150 miles. Can't say we didn't have reception, but it was bad - 150 miles away, in the middle of our backyard. There is no reception nearby in our house. In your opinion, he should have easily made a good sign. After purchasing it was now said that adding an antenna probably wouldn't help; It would just boost the hash along with the signal and you wouldn't be further ahead. All in all, I'm not sure who this radio will work for. Maybe everything would be fine if you lived on a barren prairie or on a mountain top where there was absolutely nothing between you and the radio station signal.
