It took my dog a while to get used to this get used rope. We usually let it roam our property while we chase after it, but with winter approaching we've decided that laziness is key! We attached it to a tree in the middle of the yard with an eyebolt. A length of 40 feet is enough to reach our patio door. When winter comes we can send our dog out to do his business while we watch from the warmth of our home. Over time this will buckle, but if you've used them before you know they don't require maintenance. I chose a spring version to relieve my dog's neck when he gets excited and starts running not knowing how far he can go. To my surprise, once he's done his thing, he just sits in the yard and watches the world go by. One thing I would like is they teach the dogs to untangle when the dog is searching. I couldn't justify a 5 star rating as it is inevitable that this will bend and give and need to be replaced. This is a great product, I'm afraid the industry will come up with better material design,
