Very easy to turn on and off. I use this in combination with a tongue lock. The belt and braces approach makes me feel better. The police officer told me that trailers are often stolen in our area and he highly recommended such a wheel lock. He said tongue locks are useless because people just wrap the chain around the tongue and pull the pendant. I still use tongue lock because I think a little extra containment wouldn't hurt.
