Special Use Functionality

I needed a setup that could turn external hard drives on and off for long periods of time, as well as the table lamp that sits at my desk. I have several other TP-Link Kasa smart products, so one less app. I've never had any integration or functionality issues with Kasa products. I ended up using one of the connectors for my wife's work laptop, but as you can see there is quite a bit of space between each connector. This offers more flexibility in what you want to connect. Pros: - Adequate outlet spacing for potentially larger plugs - If you have multiple plug-in devices you want smart access to, this is better than buying a regular power strip or surge protector. and then buy additional smart plugs to connect them (e.g. buy a 6 socket strip just to have 3 separate smart plugs occupying all 6 spaces on the strip) Cons: - Nice 90Β° flat connector for heavy accessible places, but I myself was the cable longer than 36 inches. I ended up taping it under the table with 10ft of tape so it wasn't visible. The price is a bit high. You could save a few bucks by going the route mentioned above (strips and separate smart sockets), but it's still more aesthetically pleasing and therefore warranted.
