WiFi connection didn't work

I couldn't connect and returned it. PS Just in case anyone is wondering, I have a dual band router that supports the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands at the same time. Most smart devices, including outlets, require the 2.4GHz band, and I've been able to connect smart speakers, GoSund smart outlets, and most recently, a light strip, and over 10 Philips Hue bulbs (yes, it's addicting if you have done it once get started). I'm just sharing this to illustrate that it's not because of my router or internetโ€ฆ

BURNED! DO NOT BUY!

One of the plugs on mine buzzed and burst into flames. The fork has never been used. Only 2 months and Revain doesn't help me! They sent me to the manufacturer. Who recognized the goods as defective. And they offer to replace it, but the return process is a joke! I've been emailing all week for a replacement or a refund and each email is just another request for a picture or to their website and to register a product or to be sent serial numbers or to explain how you have used the product. Expensive but great product.

I needed a smart outlet with a 90 degree plug that could be placed behind the bed. Most of the options I found were for the street. No problem: I ordered one. Unfortunately the app was terrible and I was never able to get it on my network. (I suspect my router uses the same network name for 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. Most devices can auto-negotiate this, but apparently this smart plug couldn't. I returned it. TP-Link was attractive because I have quite a few other smart plugs and it's nice toโ€ฆ

No no no no no no no no no no. Did I mention no?

This item was bought just a week ago. It has already started randomly rebooting all connected devices. The firmware was updated, the device was reset, etc. While the KP303 is a good device, the problem lies with TP-Link customer support, or lack thereof. I have had to contact them multiple times for issues found in their products. The support chat with TP-Link sucks at best. My 9 year old son knows more about their products than they do and he doesn't know what a USB stick is. When you finallyโ€ฆ

Special Use Functionality

I needed a setup that could turn external hard drives on and off for long periods of time, as well as the table lamp that sits at my desk. I have several other TP-Link Kasa smart products, so one less app. I've never had any integration or functionality issues with Kasa products. I ended up using one of the connectors for my wife's work laptop, but as you can see there is quite a bit of space between each connector. This offers more flexibility in what you want to connect. Pros: - Adequateโ€ฆ

Slightly disappointing

I bought this to replace another smart power strip I have because whenever my wi-fi disconnects the schedules I set up stop working. When this happens, I have to go through the extender setup process over and over again. Kasa, on the other hand, has a better interface, the ability to keep track of working hours, and more importantly, it doesn't forget my set schedules even when I'm not connected to WiFi. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because the Kasa power strip loves to reboot all the timeโ€ฆ

Socket disconnects/loses connection

Kasa Smart Plug (3 sockets) would be a 5 star product except one, it keeps disconnecting/disconnecting. Put up my Christmas lights and I love how you can go into the app and program each outlet to turn on individually. I love how it turns on exactly when you want it compared to the old manual timers where you have to align the hand to the approximate position for the time and it's always ten or fifteen minutes early or late is late. The only problem is that once the timer turns on the outletsโ€ฆ
