Pros: Hardware works exactly as expected. I had no trouble connecting it to my 2.4GHz network and after that it's a combination of nominal branded turnkey support and fairly effective learning on your existing remotes. I was able to identify most of my devices from their database and program my dehumidifier (to turn it off when I use my home theater and turn it back on when I turn the theater off) and a cheap HDMI switch with IR remote is limited and neither complete homemade nor completely finished. I agree, I don't mind this style of customization and the learn feature works well, but I'd like to see more flexibility in terms of customizing buttons, button labels, and positions in later versions of the app. I'm also not sure I'd recommend it to someone new to programmable remotes. It's not that hard, but there aren't many guides on the intricacies of creating "scenes" (ie macros). At the same time, ever simpler alternatives are significantly more expensive. Verdict: It's not the most intuitive device out there, but if you're willing to experiment a bit, this is a great little gadget for the money. I've seen one of these is really great for people interested in automating wall mounted air conditioners, window air conditioners, etc.
