I use this to add water for oxygen exchange in my 72 gallon bow tank circulate. I used this to replace a powerhead that decided to randomly start backwards half the time. This device is powerful enough to circulate water without creating a tsunami. My coolies love to play with the current. The device runs smoothly and starts in the right direction every time. A few minor complaints. First, the ball mount is a bit odd and doesn't seem to stay where you want it. Getting it in the right position and then attaching the suction cup that holds the power cord seems to work fine and hasn't budged. I want the whole block to be black, not the "ball" blue, as black dissolves better in the tank. The magnetic mount is bee knees - I hated the fact that the old head using the big suction cup occasionally fell off, causing a sandstorm in the substrate and startling the fish. I recommend this block.
